May 31, 2016One of the goals of our Strategic Plan is to increase the collaborative partnership between District 200 and our community. We have developed a survey that will provide community members with an opportunity to give us feedback on how well we are serving their needs. The results of this survey will be used to help us determine specific areas for improvement as well as those areas we need to continue developing in order to better meet the needs of all our community. May 24, 2016District 200 offices are currently operating on a four day work week through August 5th. Buildings are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. Employees work ten hours each day to accommodate the change.
May 10, 20164th & 5th Grade Olympic Day scheduled for today has been CANCELLED and is rescheduled for next Wednesday, May 18th.
April 8, 2016Students in 3rd, 4th & 5th grade will be starting PARCC (Partnership Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) testing on April 25. The tests will run for two weeks.
April 8, 2016The 52nd annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Friday, April 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. This is an amazing family night that raises money for our Greenwood PTO.
March 2, 2016The final numbers are in Mrs. Perk was happy to announce that we raised $8982.59 for the American Heart Association. We are very proud of our students and their families for raising money for heart research.
January 29, 2016Next school year, the students at Greenwood School will each be issued a one-to-one device. Your child will be able to use this device both at home and at school.
November 2, 2015Each year, in conjunction with the District 200 Executive Team, the Greenwood Teachers write and follow a School Improvement Plan. The School Improvement Plan is directly connected to the District 200 Strategic Plan. This year’s plan has five specific goals for the students, teachers and families of Greenwood Elementary School.
October 2, 2015Please monitor what your children are doing online. We remind each student of the proper uses of online resources at the beginning of each school year and throughout the year. We talk to them about never giving out personal information online and make sure that they always know who they are communicating with online.
