I graduated from Carroll College, Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1979 in Physical Education.  I received my master's degree in Health Education from UW Whitewater, Whitewater, Wisconsin in 1990.

I began my teaching career at Carroll College in the fall of 1979.  I worked at Carroll College for ten years, teaching part time in the physical education department, coaching men's and women's swimming, men's and women's cross country, women's basketball, and women's track and field.

In 1989, I started teaching in Woodstock District 200 at Clay Street and Northwood Elementary Schools.  I worked as an assistant coach with both the girls and boys track and field teams my first three years in the District.  Since I began teaching in Woodstock, I have also taught at Olson Middle School, Mary Endres Elementary, Westwood Elementary and Woodstock High School.  In 1992, I spent one semester working at the Alternative High School in Woodstock, Illinois.  Since 1997, I have been teaching at Greenwood Elementary.  This year, once again, I am traveling between Greenwood and Westwood Elementary Schools.

I have been married since 1977 to my husband, Robert.  We have two children, Nicholas (31) and Rebecca (28).

In addition to teaching in Woodstock full time, my husband and I own and operate a martial arts school in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  We have been teaching martial arts and running our own school since 1995.  We are also members of the National Ski Patrol at Indianhead Mountain in Wakefield, Michigan.  We have been patrolling for over 37 years.  We are also avid water skiers and cyclists.

Keep exercising!
